Policy version 2026-10-13 · Iron Peak Gym, Austin, TX

The short version
  1. Nothing happens unless you click Accept. If you decline or ignore the prompt, we load no tracking and collect nothing about you.
  2. If you accept, a third-party service tries to identify who you are. We then search public information about you, and AI drafts a personal welcome from Marcus.
  3. Marcus reads every message before it is sent. Nothing goes out automatically.
  4. Raw data is deleted after 30 days. You can delete everything at any time.

01When you first visit

When you land on our site, it loads only our own pages, styles, and fonts. We don't load any analytics, ad pixels, or third-party scripts. We ask you a specific question: may we identify you and send a personal welcome? You can answer Accept or Decline, and both choices are equally easy.

If you decline, we save that choice in your browser so we don't ask again, and that's the end of it.

02What happens if you accept

  1. We record your consent. We store the date and time, the policy version you agreed to, your IP address, and your browser's user-agent string. We also set a first-party cookie named ig_vid containing a random ID, so we can tie your visit to your consent. The cookie can't be read by scripts on the page.
  2. A third-party service identifies you. Only after you accept, we load a visitor-identification service's script. It may match your visit to a person in its database and send us details such as your name, email address, LinkedIn profile, employer, job title, and city or region.
  3. We search public information about you. Using the details above, our AI provider runs a handful of public web searches and reads the top results. We never scrape private accounts.
  4. AI writes a short summary and a welcome. We send those public results to an AI model (Anthropic's Claude). It writes a short summary of your interests and occupation, plus a score for how sure it is that the results are actually about you. It then drafts a welcome email of 90 words or fewer, written in Marcus's voice. If the AI isn't confident it found the right person, the email is a generic welcome that uses none of your details.
  5. Marcus reviews it. Marcus can see your name, where the identification came from, the summary, and the confidence score. He can edit, approve, or reject the draft. Only approved messages are sent, through an email delivery service (Resend).

03What we will never do

04Who handles your data

05How long we keep it

After 30 days, we automatically delete the raw search results and the raw data the identification service sent us. We keep your basic contact details, the short summary, and any message we sent until you ask us to delete them. We keep your consent record (the date, policy version, IP address, and user agent) even after deletion, because it proves you agreed. We also record the date you withdrew consent.

06Delete your data

You can withdraw consent and delete your data at any time. We'll delete your profile and any unsent messages, erase your personal details, and stop all further processing.

This sends a deletion request (POST /api/privacy/delete) for the visitor ID stored in this browser.
